About me

Welcome to PuckParenting! I’m Dawn, a self-proclaimed hockey mom extraordinaire, master of the rink-side coffee clutch, and the proud owner of a garage that smells like a locker room. When I’m not lacing up my kids’ skates or hunting for that missing elbow pad, I’m here sharing the trials, triumphs, and occasional tears that come along with raising small hockey players.

I’m the mom who’s learned the hard way that “Let’s go boys!” is both a cheer and a battle cry, depending on how the game’s going. My life is a whirlwind of early morning practices, weekend tournaments in freezing cold arenas, and an endless supply of tape.

PuckParenting is where I spill the tea- or should I say Gatorade- on everything from surviving the long drives to mastering the art of the post-game snack. Expect a mix of humor, helpful tips, and the occasional rant about referees who need new glasses. If you’ve ever found yourself yelling “Keep your stick on the ice!” in the grocery store, this blog is for you.

So, grab your favorite blanket, pull up a bleacher seat, and join me on this wild ride through hockey parenthood. Just don’t ask me to explain offsides- I’m still working on that one.
